Eligible first home buyers in NSW may receive a full transfer duty exemption on a new or existing home valued at up to $800,000, or a concession for a home above $800,000 and below $1 million. Applicants must meet the scheme’s full eligibility rules, including prior ownership and residence requirements. Generally, you must move in within 12 months and live there for at least 12 continuous months.

A $10,000 grant may be available for an eligible new home costing no more than $600,000, or an eligible house and land building arrangement with a combined value of no more than $750,000. The grant may be available alongside transfer duty assistance. Residence and other eligibility conditions apply; it is not available for established homes.
